We are currently in search of a Speech and Language Therapist, a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, and a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in the Gloucestershire area.

Due to the location of the role, you will need to be a car driver with access to a car.

The role(s) will be covering caseloads involving dysphagia assessments and AAC. You will be working with young adults with learning disabilities, ranging from mild to PMLD.

Our client is open to considering both locum, and permanent applicants, and can consider part time (a minimum of 3 days a week), or full time applicants.

We have had many workers begin contracts with this client, who often go on to take permanent roles with them, staying for many years, hailing it a wonderful, supportive place to work. There will be the opportunity to develop your skills as a Band 5, or to lead and oversee the dysphagia service as a Band 7.

The right individual for this role will have previous experience and be fully qualified to work in this position.

Job Description:
- Dysphagia and AAC
- Broad range of needs from mild to PMLD, including those with TBI
- Part time (minimum of 3 days) or full time
- Roles available for Bands 5, 6 and 7
- Band 7 – specialist dysphagia knowledge is essential – you will be running and overseeing the dysphagia service, completing complex assessments, and implementing updates to policies and procedures where necessary
- You will work with an MDT team, including other therapists and education staff etc.
- AAC ranges between high and low tech, with students in early stages through to those developing their skills for independent living

Requirements:
- Band 7 – specialist dysphagia knowledge
- Band 5 & 6 – dysphagia knowledge a preference, support will be provide to work towards competencies in this area
- AAC – experience desirable
- Right to work in the UK
- Must be HCPC registered

Rates are negotiable and based on your current experience levels/rate expectations.
